We offer 6- and 12-week scheduling options, but one off and annual cleans are also available.
Window frames and the glass on your front door will also be cleaned at every visit, as standard. We can also include your garage doors, cladding, fascias, soffits, conservatory roof and windows as and when required.
When your inside windows need a clean, we will even do those!
Traditional methods of cleaning windows, i.e some bloke up on a ladder with a squeegee and bucket of soapy water are on the decline as more and more window cleaners are investing in Pure water (also known as water-fed pole) systems. Most average consumers would be forgiven for thinking it’s little more than avoiding the use of a ladder while simply attaching a special brush to a fancy hosepipe. There’s way more to it than that!
The foremost, and fundamental key point is that windows are NOT cleaned with tap water, and NO detergent is ever used. Instead, a rather complex purification process is followed to create laboratory-grade pure water. Think about it: untreated tap water contains many mineral deposits, additives, and dissolved solid matter. Calcium, fluoride, chalk, lime, sand, dust, bacteria and so on.
Added to that bucket of tap water a traditional window cleaner is also detergent, usually in the form of dish liquid. Soap, by its very nature leaves a sticky residue and soapy build-up. Don’t believe me? Just take a look at the lovely ring left around your bath when you’re finished.
And the cherry on top is that a sponge is dipped into the soapy tap water and dragged across your windows to clean them. Then a rubber blade (squeegee) is dragged across the glass to dry it, leaving a static charge. What happens to your hair if you rub a balloon across it…?
Static attracts dust. Dust sticks to the sticky, soapy residue. Your windows need cleaning more frequently. You pay more to your lovely window cleaner in the long run. Bet you never thought about that before!
We leave a printed invoice containing our bank details that you can then pay online via your own internet banking service. This is our preferred method of payment as it is quick, cheap and secure.
It also provides you and us with an indisputable record of payment.
We are also happy to accept payment by cheque or in cash, of course.
Gutters that are not cleaned regularly can lead to long term damage at great expense. We help domestic and commercial clients avoid such problems arising by surveying their gutters, identifying any problems and cleaning, clearing and repairing where necessary. Gutters that aren’t cleared regularly can cause many (and often very expensive to repair) problems.
Moss, leaves and other debris can cause gutters to become clogged and prevent rain water from draining away.
NOW would be a good time to get your gutters checked! We can survey your gutters for your and show you on-screen (via our special ‘Gutter Cam’) what they look like inside and whether you need to get them cleared.
Additionally, if repairs are required, we can do them while we’re there cleaning the gutters. This is usually more cost effective than arranging separate repairs.
Our specialist power washing equipment brings new life to any tired looking patio. Whether you have wooden decking, a concrete or a tiled patio, regular maintenance will ensure it stays in good condition and that it looks great all year round.
Whether you have top of the range wood decking or simple concrete paving all will benefit from regular maintenance. Not just to keep it looking clean but also to keep it in good condition. Lack of maintenance on the other hand will cause it to deteriorate and diminish your kerb-side appeal.
All these detract from the beauty of your home and your ability to enjoy spending time in your outdoor areas. Some can even be downright dangerous in the right (or is it wrong?) circumstances.
For example, moss and algae: The summer sun will bake it on making it much harder to remove later, even causing staining and permanent marking. In winter, the snow and ice make it exceptionally treacherous underfoot, and, well, we have the lovely wet British climate that encourages moss and algae to grow but also means year-round slip-hazards.
Additionally, lichen (ever heard of that?) forms when fungus and algae aren’t regularly cleaned away, and once it has been allowed to take root no amount of pressure washing will get rid of it. .
Only strong chemical etching, with its own associated risks. Regular maintenance is the only way to prevent the formation of lichen in the first place
Don’t worry though, the days of your having to be out there on your hands and knees with a scrubbing brush in one hand and bucket of soapy water beside you are gone. We use our specialist power-washing equipment to bring new life to your tired, dirty, mossy, or otherwise yucky paving, patio flooring, wooden decking, tiles and concrete. No aggressive pressure washing or dangerous chemicals either!
